Don't play with your food - experiment with it instead!
Join relief teachers Oesoph A. Gus and Dewey Dean for a grosstacular workshop that explores the science of food and digestion. Participants will be guided through a series of interactive science demonstrations, as well as games and hands-on activities that expand upon ideas encountered during That Science Gang’s live show, “You Are a Doughnut”.
You’ll experiment with colour changing cabbage juice, make your own ‘vomit slime’, and discover the remarkable fact that when you smell something, a little bit of that something is attached to you (and that includes farts!).
WORKSHOP DURATION: 60 minutes
RECOMMENDED AGE GROUP: Ages 7 to 12 / Families
WORKSHOP SIZE: Up to 30 participants
The project was funded by the State Government through the Department of Local Government, Sport and Cultural Industries as part of the election commitment grant program.
