YOUR LIFE IN PICTURES with Brenton E McKenna
Learn all about creating comics, cartoons and graphic novels inspired by your own life with acclaimed Yawuru author and artist Brenton E McKenna. With six graphic novels, over 1000 weekly 'Ole Champ' comic strips in The West Australian and work featured in literary magazines and anthologies, Brenton has all the tips and tricks you’ll ever need to turn your ideas into top-notch graphic stories. An inspiring workshop perfect for all experience levels, from professional illustrators to hobby artists, aspiring authors or anyone just looking to have a bit of fun learning some new creative skills.
This workshop is suitable for all levels of experience and forms of storytelling. Whether you have a full draft or just the spark of an idea, we’d love for you to join us!
Light refreshments will be provided. Please bring whatever material(s) you have with you, including drafts, sketches or a portfolio, as well writing and drawing materials. Don't worry if you don't have anything, we'll have some materials to share.
