Scribblers on the Road is heading to the Goldfields for the first time!

As Australia’s leaders in creative learning, we are bringing this one-of-a-kind festival to the Kalgoorlie Boulder community with a FREE Family Fun Day from 10AM - 4PM on Saturday, 5 April 2025.

This exciting day of creativity and entertainment is a celebration of stories in all forms, designed to inspire young creatives. Expect a jam-packed schedule of workshops, storytelling and performances all day long at the Goldfields Arts Centre, Kalgoorlie.

There's something for all ages at this family festival. Highlighting the day is Scribblers LIVE! starring Scribblers headliners: DC and Marvel Comics writer Shane McCarthy, picture book extraordinaire Sally Murphy, groundbreaking Indigenous graphic novelist Brenton E McKenna, and award-winning picture book illustrator Zeno Sworder. Joined by local legends, Bendy Abbs, Gary Cooper and Owen Hinton, this one-time-only live stage spectacular will feature story battles, hilarious challenges and family-friendly entertainment.
