Go behind the lens and hear from photographer Brett Leigh Dicks as he shares special insights on historical imagery of the Goldfields.
When photographer Brett Leigh Dicks set out on his recent project rephotographing Western Australian Museum’s historic Dwyer & MacKay collection, he was astounded by how many of the Goldfields buildings depicted in the original photographs were still standing. This led Brett to create the photographic exhibition Time and Time Again: Rephotographing the Goldfields.
Brett's project saw him painstakingly rephotograph over 100 historic Goldfields landscape photographs from the collection, a century after the original images were created.
With the results of the project currently on display at the Museum of the Goldfields, Brett will take you behind the scenes with a floor talk about the project and exhibition. See history through Brett’s perspective as he shares his processes, challenges, and stories behind his remarkable exhibition.
Don't miss this rare opportunity to appreciate Kalgoorlie from a unique perspective!
